Day 3 of my road trip to the Rockies………………I rolled out of Topeka and pulled in to C Springs at about 3pm. Here is a shot of the Front Range and Pikes Region as I came over a rise about 15 miles from town!
First stop was Carmichael Training Systems (CTS)—and yes a plug—for an organization that has helped me prep for some tough fat tire events. Coach Patrick has been my training mentor for more than a year and we were planning to meet for the first time but he was out on a ride with another of his athletes. Anyway, I was given the nickel tour of CTS and was duly impressed with the facility, pics, Lance memorabilia, and teamwork before I changed in to some kit and headed out for a 60 min spin per Patrick’s schedule. Great to loosen the legs after 7.5 hrs in the car and after the ride I was headed to my Sister’s house.
